Customer — Terms, Disclaimer & Consent

1. **Smart KhataKart** is a digital ledger / Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) platform where you can shop at partner stores within your credit limit.

2. **Registration:** A valid mobile number, Aadhaar, address, 2 references, and KYC documents (Aadhaar + photo) are required to sign up. Your QR becomes active only after an admin approves your KYC.

3. **Credit Limit:** Your credit limit is set according to company policy. Outstanding amount cannot exceed this limit.

4. **Repayment / Billing Cycles:** Bills follow fixed cycles — purchases from the **1st–14th** are due on the **15th** of the same month; purchases from the **15th–month end** are due on the **1st of the next month**. Paying on time is your responsibility. Late payment may attract a late fee (as per Settings).

5. **Service Fee:** A service fee may be charged separately on each transaction and is included in the total due.

6. **Card Block:** If dues remain unpaid after the due date, your card is **BLOCKED** and new purchases are not allowed. After payment, the card becomes **ACTIVE** again. Admin may also block/unblock manually.

7. **Membership:** An annual membership fee / validity may apply. Services may stop when membership expires.

8. **QR / PVC Card:** The QR is shown in the app only after KYC is approved. A merchant can create a bill only when KYC is approved and the card is active.

9. **Profile Update:** Changing Aadhaar, address, references, or KYC documents will set KYC back to pending until an admin approves again.

10. **Support:** For disputes, KYC, or payment issues, contact us from the Support section in the app.

- **Smart KhataKart is not a bank or NBFC** unless a separate license is displayed. The credit facility depends on company / partner rules.

- Final decisions on credit approval, increasing/decreasing limits, and KYC approve/reject rest with the **company / admin**.

- The company may suspend or block an account for false information, fake documents, or misuse.

- For technical issues, network failure, or third-party payment gateway delays, the company makes reasonable efforts but does not guarantee against every loss.

- Local shop disputes with a merchant (product quality, refunds) are primarily between the customer and the shop; the platform mainly maintains the credit record.

- Interest rates, fees, and policies may change via **admin settings**; the updated policy will apply on the app/website.

During signup and KYC you consent to the following:

1. **Personal Data:** Name, mobile, Aadhaar, PAN (if provided), address, references, photo, and uploaded documents may be collected and stored.

2. **Verification:** Admin / authorized staff may verify KYC. References may receive a verification call/SMS.

3. **Usage:** Data will be used for credit decisions, repayment tracking, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and customer support.

4. **Sharing:** Where required, data may be shared with payment partners, SMS gateways, the recovery team, or law enforcement — only for lawful purposes.

5. **Retention:** Documents and transaction records may be retained as per regulatory / audit requirements.

6. **Rights:** If data is incorrect, you may request an update from your profile; KYC will be reviewed again.

7. **OTP & SMS:** Transaction OTPs and reminders will be sent to your registered mobile number.
